Meet our champions
Careers for Net Zero believes in championing the role of everyday Australians in building a clean economy – meet the people making this a reality
From Electricians and Engineers, to Insulation Installers and Investment Analysts, these 10 Australians represent the skills, experience and roles needed to build the clean economy.
Net zero emissions isn’t just about LED lightbulbs, solar panels, electric vehicles or reusable takeaway cups. Transforming our economy will take a diverse range of ideas, effort, action and most importantly, people.
From a First Nations Electrician working as a solar installer on Gunaikurnai Country in Victoria to an Engineer working as in forecasting analysis in the sunshine state, and a Facilities Manager slashing an office building’s energy usage in Perth, these Australians come from different careers, but all share a common goal.
By learning a little about their motivations and their journeys, you could find yourself inspired to carve your own path into a career in the clean economy.
