Investment Analysts can support renewable energy and other developers and investors by sharing key insights regarding prospective renewable energy investments and decisions. They may analyse trade-offs, financial impact and returns of projects to provide a holistic and informed overview of the decision at hand. They can also support businesses with determining if their investment portfolio is aligned with a net zero emissions economy.

Investment Analysts are integral to making the business case for clean economy projects, supporting businesses and other stakeholders with investing in decarbonisation activities by demonstrating the financial benefits of doing so.

Investment Analysts typically require a formal qualification in finance, accounting, commerce or economics, with the Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Finance degrees being a common entrance pathway. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science in mathematics or computer sciences is also looked upon favourably, as these skillsets aid in financial modelling. 

Invest Analysts have diverse experiences across accounting, commerce, economics and finance. They may work for renewables developers, real economy businesses, supporting them with developing business cases for clean economy projects, or for institutional investors, determining if their investment portfolio is aligned with their decarbonisation and net zero goals.
